What is Hawks Nest?
Hawks Nest's purpose is simple and clear. Our purpose is to assist veterans with their transition from active duty to civilian life. At times Veterans leaving active duty do not have any support once in the civilian sector.
Our Goals
Our goal is to provide housing at minimal to no cost to the veteran. This will allow the veteran to save money for 2-3 years while working with Hawks Nest. This will help veterans to use these savings to purchase a house or at the very least get a good footing for their journey in life outside of the Military. Hawks Nest will also provide facilities for our veterans to learn a trade, ie: electrical, HVAC, welding, mechanical, that would allow them to start their own small business. Our goal at Hawks Nest is to assist our Veterans in any way possible to start their civilian life off in the best manner.
Our Community
Hawks Nest strives to work with and assist our surrounding communities. Veterans working with or using the assistance of Hawks Nest will be required to provide community service in order to continue receiving assistance.
Our Founder
Hawks Nest was thought up by a Marine that was part of 3rd LAAM Battalion at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. With a desire to assist those in need, our Founder, Steve, is dedicated to providing all the necessary tools for Veterans to get a hand up with their transition.
